Australia's Humanist Societies
Australia has six humanist societies, one in every state except Tasmania, and one in the ACT. Most of these societies were formed in the 1960's.
The Council of Australian Humanist Societies Inc. (CAHS), also known as Humanists Australia, was established in 1965 as a national body to help coordinate the activities of Australia's humanist societies and advocate for Humanist views and concerns at a federal level.
This website has been set up by Humanists Australia to improve knowledge and education about Humanism, to provide a national platform for Humanism, and to increase awareness of the various CAHS member societies.
